The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

1932 PACKARD SUPER 8 CONVERTIBLE COUPE

Found this on face book.

Dedication plus

Friday November 4th was a 'milestone' for Edmonton Antique Car Club  Member Tony and his volunteer crew. After many years of sourcing parts, an...d five years (5277 logged hours) restoring his "very rare" '32 Packard Super 8, the time finally arrived for the critical 'body to frame' mounting! With a 142 1/2" wheelbase and 383 cu", 140 HP 'straight-eight' engine, the scale and 'stance' of this classic antique is truly impressive (....aka Clarke Gable....)! Tony plans to complete restoration and get on the road with his fellow Edmonton Antique Car Club enthusiasts early next summer
