The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Aussie 36 Chev Sedan

Not surprised this has been sold for $17,990

A bargain in my opinion.

Description reads..............

This charming 1936 Chevrolet FC Standard Six Sedan is in good restored condition, it was restored around 20 yrs ago. The paintwork, trim ,chrome etc are in good order, and the tyres, brakes and battery are new, it is neat and tidy under the bonnet as it should be, and runs and drives well. This car has been recently recommissioned after long term storage. It has it's original 206ci overhead valve 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed centre change gearbox and "I" beam front axle (often preferred over the Master model with the knee action independent front suspension). 1936 was the first year Chevrolet had the desirable 4 wheel hydraulic brakes.
An excellent rally car with plenty of character, now ready for it's next owner.
