The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

1937 Packard Super 8 Club Sedan

Found this on Ebay......... nice

What a great old Packard hoping someone will buy it and make it go again.  It’s located in Cincinnati, Ohio and listed in this eBay listing

There is not much detail about the car. The body looks solid, the plating will have to be redone as part of the full restoration.

The interior also needs a full restoration, but its all there.

Look at the great condition of the dash, especially for an unrestored car

There is even a  parts car that goes with it

The Straight eight cylinder engine.
