The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Swapping a few 29 parts for 28's

Called into see Steve at Bittern this morning. Steve was kind enough to swap a 28 torque tube and tail shaft for a 29 torque tube and tail shaft that I had and do not need.

Steve has a beautiful 28 tourer that has been on the road for some time.

He also has a 29 roadster and 28 ute that are both under restoration.

Very impressed with the standard of work Steve is doing, and both cars will be fine examples once completed.

Below are a few pictures of his ute.
