The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

How Lucky Are Chev 4 Fans in America???

Could not believe when I came across this

1928 Chevrolet 2 door Sedan. Car runs and drives great, brakes have been rebuilt, and work well. No rust, the car needs some wood work in the passenger door B pillar. Door does not close very well, and appears B pillar is broken in half. The wood on the rest of the car is in great solid condition. Needs a new top. Clear title. Thanks No Reserve

$2,650 with 17 bids already, no reserve.

About this time I went green with envy
