The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

A 1928 Chev 4 Cooling System that only needs topping up every 6 months

How many Chev 4's do you know that maintain this water level, before, during and after a 200 kilometer drive at speeds of up to 45 mph?

How many Chev 4's do you know that only needs a coolant top up every 6 months?

How many Chev 4's do you know that can run modern coolant, which is normally corrosive to a vintage cooling system?

I only know of 2 myself, Monty the 1928 Chev from Trafalgar, and the Red Chev from The Basin.

If your interested in how this was made possible, please open the 2 links below to dedicated postings on my blog.
