The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

DVHCC display at the Doveton Show

I was up at 6.30am to wash the Red Chev in preparation for the Doveton Show, and as soon as I finished rain looked like it was on the agenda.

By the time we met at Myuna Farm http://www.casey.vic.gov.au/myunafarm/ for a display of Vintage and Classic cars by the DVHCC http://www.dvhcc.com.au/, the heavens opened up. Luckily it soon passed and the rest of the day was under sunny skies.

The annual Doveton show http://www.dovetonshow.org.au/aboutdovetonshow.php
is a great day out with today being no exception.
