The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

Great Update on 1950 Chev needs some TLC

I first posted the following on May 19th 2012, and was very pleased to hear from Clint on the 8th June 2013 that he purchased the car and plans to restore it. Best of luck Clint, and please keep in touch.

Cheers

Ray

The photos below will make some view with joy, others will cringe at the amount of work.

  1. Great old chev this one. I bought it and plan on starting the restoration in a months time. It was exciting to see she was already on your website. When I finish her off I will endeavour to send you some photos if you are interested.

Love the rest of your site as well, it was a kick to see the caravans as the wife wants me to build one to tow behind the chev.

    Best wishes

  2. Hi Clint,

Great to hear from you and good luck with the restoration. I am so glad to see it go to a better life, and in no time or when ever it will be your pride and joy.

If you feel like sending me updates on the restoration I would be more than happy to put them on my blog.

    Cheers

    Ray Dean
