The purpose of this Blog

This blog is to detail my 50 years (1973 - 2023) with a 1928 Chevrolet tourer, affectionately called "The Red Chev".

The acquisition, restoration, improvements and my experiences over the years are covered in as much detail as I can remember.

Some of the later postings include car club outings and other vintage car items that I hope will be of interest to people.

If you have the time, scroll back to where it all began in 1973 and follow the journey so far.

Thanks for dropping by.

Regards Ray Dean

A Few Old Aussie Chevs from the 20's and 30's that need help

The following series of photos is from an Aussie site http://ozrodders.com

One thing about all the following is they are all pre loved and all in need of a lot of love.

This Ute appeals to me the most from the bunch

Well at least there is a front half !

Poor old 27.I have heard of CKD, but this is a bit extreme

This one might not be as bad as the first impression

Pity I cant say the same for this poor old thing

I hope these are better on the inside than they are on the outside

Scrap value I fear

Now this may scrub up OK

Complete and calling out for a new home?
